This Friday night, there’ll be “Fish On!”

July 20th, 2008 by Susan Mumma, Chair of the Seldovia Arts Council · 2008, Events

On Friday, July 25, Joe Rizo’s Triumvirate Theatre presents “Fish On!“, or “everything you wanted to know about fishing but were afraid to ask”. In this delightful mix of fun and fiddle music, you’ll learn about the Kenai River and get some insider salmon fishing tips to boot.

The Triumvirate Theatre is a small theater group from Soldotna, run under the umbrella of The Alaska Children’s Institute for the Performing Arts, a non-profit corporation founded in 1998 to bring the benefits of theater to children.

Performance will start at 8 pm at Susan B. English School. The gate opens at 7:30 pm, and tickets will be at our usual prices.

Tell your fishing buddies: this is one Fish On! you won’t want to miss.

Community Theater Melodrama canceled

July 19th, 2008 by Susan Mumma, Chair of the Seldovia Arts Council · 2008, Events, News

Due to lack of turnout for the Community Theater tryouts, we’ve canceled this year’s production.

Are you still interested in participating in local theatricals for adults and children? Don’t despair—we’ll be rescheduling this event for some later time.

In the meantime, please let us know, in the comments here or when you attend our next performance, if you’re interested in participating. That way, we can get everyone together for a planning session when the timing works better.
